Unlike CE, FCC or RoHS, it is not a product certificate — it certifies that the organisation's processes consistently produce what they claim: documented procedures, traceability, corrective action and continual improvement. For a buyer, it is the signal that a panel off the line today matches the panel off the line six months from now.

An LED wall is a system of many identical modules built in volume. Without a disciplined QMS, batch-to-batch colour, brightness and mechanical fit drift — and a single off-spec cabinet ruins a seamless wall. ISO 9001 is what keeps that drift out.

Technical Note: Capability Indices: The Math of 'Controlled'

Equation (1) is the process capability index: specification width divided by six standard deviations σ of the measured process. Equation (2), Cpk, additionally penalises a mean μ that sits off-centre - a process can have wide limits and still ship defects. Equation (3) accounts defects per million opportunities, with N units produced and O opportunities per unit; ISO 9001 audits ask for exactly these records, not slogans.
